That Macheso is a Chitungwiza son cannot be overstated and his return to his homeground is something that any community will celebrate.

Having Tuku on the line-up will simply add to the concoction a catalyst for a massive showdown.

The show which will be a precursor to Sharon Macheso’s wedding to Kudakwashe Munetsi to be held on Monday at Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton which will also be graced by Chitungwiza dancehall artiste Guspy Warrior and not-to-be-underrated Progress Chipfumo.

Josh Hozheri, one of the organisers of the show, yesterday said besides the fun, the show should be taken a symbol of things that families have to cherish.

“A daughter’s wedding or any other wedding should be cherished. Macheso and Tuku are family men and iconic as they are setting an example to members of the public in this time of family disintegration that a family should always be dear for anyone however big or small,” he said.

“Every father is proud when their daughter weds and I say congratulations to Macheso.”

The wedding will also be a show of cementing of the relationship between Macheso and Tuku after the latter’s wife Daisy was part of the customary marriage ceremony at Macheso’s house in February.

Macheso said people should be prepared to party tomorrow.

“This is an event like no other. I am still celebrating my birthday and this wedding is a sign that God is taking care of us.”
