ZIMBABWE football international Marvelous Nakamba is still waiting to make his debut in the Dutch Eredivisie after completing a move to Vitesse two weeks ago.
The former Bantu Rovers, Young Warriors and Nancy star is the only Zimbabwean in the Dutch top flight, which has been dominated by traditional giants PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam.
Vitesse are without a win in three matches having lost twice and drawn once to lie in 17th place with just a single point. This Sunday, they lost 2-1 to PEC Zwolle.
Still in Europe, Costa Nhamoinesu’s Czech Republic champions Sparta Prague have had a rocky start to the defence of their title after going down 1-0 to Dukla Praha with the Zimbabwe international playing the entire match.
Sparta are now fourth on the standings with nine points, three away from leaders Slavia, having lost twice in five matches.
In South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter hinted on Sunday that despite wanting Knowledge Musona to stay, the player’s heart was not with Amakhosi.
“We would have all loved to bring Knowledge because he settled in last year and he became a very important member of the squad,” Baxter said after Musona’s representatives released a statement on Friday, ruling out a deal with the Glamour Boys.
“I do think it’s important that we have players at the club who want to be at Kaizer Chiefs — who are black and gold all the way through.

In Mpumalanga, Black Aces’ Warriors striker Tendai Ndoro has faith the team can shake off their poor start to the season if they stay focused and stick to the instructions of coach Clive Barker.
Aces opened their 2014/15 account with a 4–0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 earlier this month.
Barker’s side then drew 1-1 with Bloemfontein Celtic in the Absa Premiership before losing at home to Chiefs (2–1) and Platinum Stars (2–0), leaving them propping up the standings.
Ndoro, who already has one League goal to his name, says it is too early for his team to panic.
Tomorrow, Aces will face SuperSport United in what is likely to be a tough League encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
“We still have a very long way to go in the League so we have to maintain our composure and remain calm,” Ndoro, who scored seven League goals last season, told KickOff.com.
“We have to work harder in training and follow the instructions of the coach. Maybe as players we still need time to get used to each other since there are some new additions to the team. Things will come right, we just have to keep on focusing,” he added.
