Musona was invited for an initial two-week trial stint with the Tunisia-based side.

FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed the trial stint, but could not shed details on the impending move.

“Yes, I can confirm that he is attending trials in Tunisia. He left the country a day after the One Wallet Cup quarter-finals.

“The initially trial period is two weeks and we expect feedback on Sunday. But I cannot divulge finer details like the name of the club and other things because we are not the ones who organised the trials, it is Aces Youth Academy, the owners of the player, remember he is here on loan,” said Chizondo.

Efforts to get a comment from Aces Youth Academy proved fruitless as its director Nigel Munyati was unreachable.

But this publication has exclusively learnt that that Youth Academy protégé was indeed trying his luck at the record 26-time Tunisian giants and the two-time African Champions League winners, who are a common name in Zimbabwe having pummelled both Highlanders and Dynamos in the Champions League before.
