Signed on a three-year deal, Sadiki was first spotted during the Chan finals before being invited for trials in Zambia where TP Mazembe were on tour before going for a further month’s assessment in Lubumbashi where the deal was finally signed.

At the weekend, Sadiki was with his new teammates as they prepared for their Caf Champions League group stages where they face Zamalek on July 26 in Cairo.

Clad in the team’s traditional black and white colours, Sadiki posed for team photos at a golf resort yesterday before their departure for a training camp.

The DRC champions are not short on transport: they own two private jets!

Kuda Mahachi is continuing with his trials at French Ligue One giants AS Monaco in Austria and will complete his second week in camp before they head to England for the Emirates Cup.

With the first European transfer window closing at the end of August, Monaco are taking their time in assessing the Zimbabwean international, who is on the books of South Africa champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mahachi, whose star shown brightest at the Chan finals in South Africa at the start of the year, spent the first half of the year on loan at Bulawayo giants Highlanders after Sundowns, through their manager and former Bosso star Peter Ndlovu, decided he would develop more there than at Chicken Inn where he had spent two seasons.

Reports from South Africa indicate that Maritzburg United will monitor Highlanders left-back Khumbulani Banda for another two weeks as they seek a replacement for Ruben Cloete. Banda went on trials last week.

Kaizer Chiefs are still in the dark over Warriors international Knowledge Musona as the player is holding out for a stay in Europe than returning to Africa.

And as they head to Port Elizabeth this week, coach Stuart Baxter has already signed Siphelele Mthembu in anticipation that Musona might depart.

“We had hoped to finalise this [Musona’s future] last week, but that hasn’t happened. The team leaves for PE soon and will only return to Johannesburg a few days before the Carling Cup pre-season match against Orlando Pirates and we need to know who is staying and who is going,” football manager Bobby Motaung told Laduma.

“His agent had mentioned an offer from Saudi Arabia, but I think it has fallen through because if it was going to materialise, I would have heard about it by now. Musona has fully recovered from his injury and is eager to know about his next move.”

His side Hoffenheim want R10 million for the star.

Warriors goalkeeper George Chigova is back in Harare waiting for the issuance of a work permit that will enable him to return to SuperSport United in South Africa. He should have no problem with that anyway.
