POPULAR socialite, Tinopona Katsande’s dream of participating in this year’s edition of Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show has been shattered after she missed her passport, it has emerged.

After advancing through to the second stage of the auditions held in Harare recently and in need of a passport to register, Katsande was shocked after discovering that her travelling document was missing.
This means that her fight, fasting and determination have come to naught.
“Big Brother Africa is a competition that one enters with the aim of winning and I wanted to win and it was a greater opportunity which I cannot get in Zimbabwe to show my talent,” she told NewsDay. Tin Tin as she is popularly known, was a spoilt daughter of businessman in the television soap Studio 263 before she ventured into radio broadcasting.
She left ZIFM radio after her sex tape with an unidentified man went viral.
Katsande yesterday wrote on her Facebook account that she was devastated by the loss of her passport.
“Over the weekend I finally auditioned for BBA and went along with other public personalities and some very talented individuals. I got a golden ticket to progress to stage two of the auditions,” she said. “I had to return with my photos and passport with certified copy for the next round. I kid you not before God and man I COULD NOT FIND MY PASSPORT anywhere. I turned my house upside down, but passport ‘deng’! So I figured what’s the point of going back when I’m not organised. So I didn’t go back to stage two with the others that were selected.”

In the post, Tin Tin asked herself several questions, sounding as if she regretted the missed opportunity to take her career even further.
She revealed that she prayed and fasted over going for BBA. “But what I do know is I prayed and fasted over going for BBA for a while and this is where I am today. My passport is always in the same place with my other legal documents and certificates,” Katsande said. “This time, however, it wasn’t. (Turned out my house help placed it in a bag when she was doing laundry after my recent Joburg trip. I do not blame her at all. I should have been more responsible with it when I returned).
“I don’t know who will be representing us in the house this season, but from what I saw at auditions, I’m convinced Zimbabwe will defiantly bring home the money.”
Interestingly, after posting the message, Tin Tin warned the media, local and international against taking her posts and making a story out of that on Facebook claiming the posts were private.
