The show will also feature artistes like Cynthia Mare, Pastor Herman Chimusoro, Denzel Chiware, Joseph Chinouriri and Audius Mtawarira.

Flem B told NewsDay yesterday that he was excited about the show as he will be performing jazz for the first time.

“I am excited about the challenge that the concert has given me as I have never done jazz before. My music has always been up-beat and I never imagined myself singing jazz,” Flem B said.

“I was surprised at the outcome though.”

He said the concert would also give him a chance to learn from different musicians that he holds in high regards.

“I will also take the chance to learn how others perform and I will be taking notes,” he said.

The concert is being put together by In Total Jazz Gospel in Jazz Band sponsored by Shownation.

Speaking to NewsDay, director of Shownation Entertainment Mbaki Nleya said the concert is aimed at promoting the integration of jazz elements into contemporary gospel music.

“I have realised that some local gospel artistes are fusing their music with jazz and as someone with a passion for jazz I decided to broaden the appreciation of jazz music among gospel musicians,” Nleya said.

“We hope to make the concert an annual event that will incorporate praise and worship seminars with various activities that I believe will take gospel music to another level.”

Nleya urged fans to come in numbers, adding that tickets for the concert were found at Innov 8 Bookshop, Joina City branch.
