THE Black Rhinos Queens pair of Rufaro Machingura and Tariro Makumbe who are alleged to have assaulted referee Mercy Maimbo on Saturday during the NetOne Cup final at Rufaro are now expected in court today after the matter failed to kick off yesterday. STAFF REPORTER

The matter could not be heard because the docket was incomplete and has now been set down for today.

This was after the complainant indicated that she was assaulted by six people and the police needed to track them down.

The State is also expected to present a medical record to determine the extent of the injuries sustained by Maimbo during the assault.

The former Mighty Warriors striker Machingura and Makumbe are alleged to have assaulted the referee after the match, which ended 2-2 and was eventually won 5-4 by Inline Academy in a penalty shoot-out. They were arrested after the assault.
