Makubalo aka NaakMusiQ has been topping the Mzansi charts being number one on Ukhozi FM Umnyakazo Top 20, for three weeks in a row from May 10 to May 24, number 14 on Metro FM Top 40 with Adiland number 7 on Y-FM Dance with Just-Mo (Y-FM Fridays 0900am to 1000am).

He was featured by DJSbu on the hit track Qina 2012 Production and since the production of his own Love and Music, a 13 track-album listeners have been going crazy with the tracks YiniftDj Heavy K, CrazyftDj Heavy K and What Have You Done.

“Naakmusiq’s video for his single song Crazy is in the pipeline and Naakmusiq entrusted the role of marketing his brand and his music to Hunnar Management Agency. He was perplexed upon discovering that he has fans also in Zimbabwe,” said Hunnar Management Agency communications manager Kwanele Mpofu.

Mpofu said the young Generations star said he was willing to come for a show in Zimbabwe anytime soon to serenade local revellers and grow his fan base with his soothing vocals on deep and soulful house-music.

The multi-talented actor and singer was born in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth. In 2009 he studied contemporary music at Damelin being taught by the likes of BenjyMudie and RJ Benjamin.

As an aspiring artiste, some of his achievements so far include currently being a cast member at SABC 1 Generations soapie, guest appearance: SABC 1 – Mmino Mania (2011) as a guest singer and presenting roles: SABC 2 – Hectic 9 Nine (2008/9); Pinda Quest with Canadian network called Knight Scove.

As a musician NaakMusiQ has collaborated with Eltonnick on the number 1 hit track called Move, which has topped charts on Metro FM, 5fm and Y-fm. His collaboration with DJSbu on Qina is blazing charts and airwaves all over Southern Africa.

“He has also featured on other cd’s including Eltonnick – TME (EltonnickftNaakMusiQ – Move, Ndiyindoda, and Reach The Light), Tokzen Sound – Mzanzi vs International, House of Flava 2 mixed by Mo Flava, ZAR Sushi Mix mixed by Kenny Kunene, Nkokhi – Journey Of Life album (You Came Along), DjSbu – Sound Revival (Qina), Heavy K – The Drumboss (Yini) and La Shad – Latita (House Afrika Sessions 3 (Brown Eyes),” said Mpofu.

NaakMusiQan be seen every week day from 8 – 8:30pm on SABC 1 Generations, a soapie that has 6,4 million viewers across South Africa. He has also performed alongside Dj Fresh and Euphonik, Lulo Cafe, Mo Flava and Tira to name a few.

“In less than two years in the industry his acting and music career has seen him gracing no less than 19 magazine covers and newspapers in SouthAfrica. NaakMusiQ has a very active fan base with 51 779 followers on Twitter and 47 000fans on facebook. His forever growing profile has made him BMW’s youngest brand ambassador,” he said.
