CHITUNGWIZA-BRED dancehall chanter Ricky Fire, real name Tulani Takavada, on Saturday launched his sixth album There is no Danger at Super Label in the capital.

The 13-track album carries songs like Mafaro Anotanga Chishanu, Hupenyu, Kahunhu keChimero, PaDemand and Haana Rudo among others.
Dancehall lovers were in for a treat as the launch was graced by an array of artistes among them Seh Calaz, Lady Squanda, Kinnah, Empress Fly, Junior Fire and Empress Fina among others. Rocking it on the turntables was the duo of Godfather Templeman and Gary B.
Ricky Fire said he was happy that his music was being appreciated both locally and internationally.
“Given the platform to perform outside the country by different promoters shows that I am on track and heading in the right direction in my music career,” Ricky Fire said.
With a few days after the release, the album is already causing a stir in public transport and ghettos with youngsters singing along the tracks.
The 28-year-old Ricky Fire, whose breakthrough was in 2002, appealed to promoters to support upcoming artistes.

“In Zimbabwe, we have the talent, but upcoming musicians do not have money to fund their projects. My appeal to promoters and the corporate world is for them to support artistes so that raw talent can be tapped,” he said.
Ricky Fire has done many projects with different dancehall chanters who include Lady B, Junior Fire and Guspy Warrior among others.
