He came out winner in the competition after whipping some of Southern Africa’s most talented disk jockeys to the coveted prize.

The competition consisted of three stages where the DJs had to submit a 10-minute mix that incorporated EDM, Afro House, Hip-Hop, RnB and Zim Dance Hall.

The first stage of the competition consisted of the mixes being submitted to radio.  The second stage was a series of live mix battles held in clubs across the region and the final battle was held last Saturday at Pariah State.

“A team of judges has determined that RayDizz had displayed the best combination of raw talent, stage presence, and crowd control,” said RayDizz’s manager and publicist Phil Chard.

He said as part of his prize Ray Dizz would be performing today at The Glass House (Borrowdale Racecourse) as the Miller Sound Clash Tour arrives in Harare.

Chard added that the DJ would also share the stage with South African stars Khuli Chana, DJ Fresh, DJ Euphnik and D.

After winning Ray Dizz had this to say: “I am elated to have won and I look forward to representing Zimbabwe in Las Vegas.  Hopefully this will be just one of many accolades that I will achieve in my career.”

He said he wanted to fly the Zimbabwean flag high and share his passion with the world.

Ray Dizz said he was thankful to his loving family and friends, especially his mother who had always supported his love for music. Apart from that, Ray Dizz will also receive the following as part of the prize:
