The show which featured multiple award winning South African hip-hop artiste Khuli Chana (real name Khulane Morule), DJ Euphonik (real name Themba Mbongeni Nkosi), Botswana-born DJ Fresh (real name Thato Sikwane) and local DJ Ray Dizz lived to its billing as all of them put up sterling performances.

The show was hosted by the South Africans duo of DJ Naves and SPHEctacula.

Several local celebrities among them musicians Stunner, Tatea Da MC and Cynthia Mare graced the party.

The gig echoed the venue to the sounds of old skool and contemporary music as the performers took turns to entertain revellers who were kept on their feet.

During the performance of all the artistes, revellers could be seen dancing and singing along to the tunes.

DJ Ray Dizz, the Zimbabwean winner of the Africa Miller Sound Clash competition that also featured Botswana and Swaziland, was the first to perform at the show.

DJ Ray Dizz, who is set to perform in Las Vegas in the United States of America in August, showed his creativity on the turntables proving why he was selected as the local winner ahead of four other DJs who were also vying for the same title.

For winning in Zimbabwe, DJ Ray Dizz will perform at the global Miller Music Tour from August 22 to 26 at Marquee Club, Las Vegas, where he will get the opportunity to play alongside 100 of the world’s top DJs.

DJ Fresh, who is credited among the pioneers of house music in Southern Africa, and DJ Euphonik took to the turntables after DJ Ray Dizz and they both did not disappoint during their acts.

After the DJs it was Khuli Chana who took to the stage receiving a positive response from the audience.

Khuli Chana, who was in the the country for the second time after his debut performance at the Shoko Festival last year, did not disappoint as he managed to keep up the tempo that was set by the DJs.

The rapper, who calls his music Motswako, is one of South Africa’s leading rappers who sings in English and South Africa’s vernacular languages.

DJ Rax, who closed the show in the wee hours of Sunday, also showed that he is a force to reckon with on the turntables.

Max Karombo, marketing director of Delta Breweries, said they were excited to be giving DJs in Zimbabwe the chance to appear alongside some of the biggest African artistes in the world.
