National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said several residents had fallen victim to the suspects who visited a number of churches and drove off in their getaway car after pouncing on unsuspecting congregants.

“Church members are urged to be wary of strangers who sit next to them while church ceremonies are in progress. Where possible, leaders are urged to engage security people who will assist to monitor proceedings as congregants begin dancing and praying,” Nyathi said.
