Morgan was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of Tendai’s album titled Kupa kwaShe at Private Lounge in Harare.

He said he just did not want to challenge his younger brother on the musical front.

“I just do not want to challenge Tendai you know,” he said shaking his head.

“I could easily set up a better band that can perform better.”

The two have an acrimonious musical relationship owing to the Tendai’s ultimatum to Morgan that he would not be allowed in the band as long as he still drank beer.

Morgan has since relocated to Chiredzi where he says he is staying with his wife and two children.

Before their fallout, Morgan was known to be the jovial lead singer, but owing to his continuous drinking and bad behaviour, he has consistently been in the media for the wrong reasons.

He also took time to refute Tendai’s claims that their poor relationship was due to his drinking habits.

“The issue here is simply that one of us is greedy and wants to take and control all the funds generated by the band,” he said before shooting down all questions.

Asked to at least join his brother as a sign of support, he initially refused before jumping on stage to a rapturous response from the audience.

Throughout the event, Morgan was milling around the venue chatting with an assorted audience.

Tendai, however, laughed off Morgan’s claims and said there was hope that the two would work together in the future as long as he reforms.

“If you look at yesterday’s event you will find that it would have failed to happen if I had worked with Morgan,” he said.

“Money comes and goes and there is nothing you can do other than work and wait for it to come. You cannot make that money when you drunk.

“You have to be sober to make the money and that is all that I want from my bother.

“There is still hope that we can work together in future and make it but he has to be sober.”
