BOOK CAFÉ: AFTER having spent two-and-a half-months touring Europe, award-winning Afro-fusion group Mokoomba tonight will stage their first show at Book Café. Tomorrow, the group will be jamming at the Miombo Magic Festival in Christon Bank, Mazowe. Mokoomba, a group that hails from Victoria Falls, is one of the most-sought after groups in the world having performed extensively around the globe.

City Sports Bar

Kireni Zulu makes a return to the central business district with a show at City Sports Bar this Sunday. The show comes after a successful trial run last Sunday that saw the Marabhi front man throwing in his usual hilarious mantra.

Gijima Sports Bar

Mbira music lovers are in for a treat tonight at Gijima Sports Bar at the corner of Kwame Nkrumah Avenue and Park Street, Harare, as the joint hosts one of the celebrated traditional music groups Mbira DzeNharira. The joint has been struggling to be consistent with themes, but one cannot afford to miss the weekly dose of traditional music.

Big Apple Club

The joint located at the corner of Mbuya Nehanda Street and Nelson Mandela Avenue in Harare will tomorrow host rising Afro-jazz sensation Pah Chihera and cousin Prince Musarurwa who are famed for their duet Runonzi Rudo. Revellers are in for a treat as both musicians are enjoying purple patches on the musical scene.

Private Lounge

Zoey Sifelani performs at Private Lounge this Sunday. The venue has become one of her favourite hunting venues in the capital owing to its ever faithful audience.

Globe Trotter Zora musician Leonard Zhakata performs at Globe Trotter tonight. Tomorrow he travels to Kadoma for a performance at H Way Nite Club.

Airport Lounge

Sulumani Chimbetu performs at Airport Lounge tomorrow. The musician is currently keeping his fans in suspense as to when he will release his much awaited new album. Pressure on him will be the success of the previous one Sean Timba and of course that Alick Macheso, his biggest rival, would be releasing a scorcher as always happens after an emotional phase as the one he is in.

Nyaguwa Beer Gardens

An array of dancehall chanters who include Qonfuzed, Princo Spice, Toky Vibes, Fire Warrior, Mbada Kid and Flinky B, among others, perform at Nyaguwa Beer Gardens in Dzivaresekwa tomorrow. On the decks will be Dollagettaz and Cashlibs.

Jongwe Corner

Jah Prayzah and his Third Generation Band return to the capital on Sunday for a performance at Jongwe Corner supported by Mbare rising dancehall chanter Kinnah who is doing well on the local scene.

Acturus Mine

Struggling sungura artiste Romeo Gasa and Extra Valembe perform at Arcturus Mine tomorrow. The musician has been going through a rough patch that saw him taking his record label Diamond Studios to court, but it appears sanity is now prevailing and they have resolved their differences.

Pick and Save Mutare

Contemporary musician Jah Prayzah and his Third Generation band travel to Mutare for a performance at Pick and Save tomorrow. The Tsviriyo singer rekindles his romance with Mutare fans having starved them for almost five months without performing in Manicaland. The performance will also be an official introduction of the fans to his latest offering Kumbumura Mhute.
