AFTER the completion of Match Day Nine of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League on Monday, Highlanders attacking midfielder Charles Sibanda can simply lay claim to having settled well into the Bulawayo giants’ line-up.
SPORTS REPORTER
Sibanda has seen duty at Hwange, won the league title with Motor Action in 2010 and was crowned Soccer Star of the Year and played in the Caf Champions League with FC Platinum in 2012 under Rahman Gumbo.
On Sunday, the Entumbane-born star scored twice as Highlanders thumped Buffaloes 3-1 at Sakubva Stadium to reclaim pole position.
His third crack at goal was diverted into the nets by Buffaloes defender Liberty Chakoroma.
It has been a slow start for Sibanda at Bosso, mainly because of being overshadowed by poster boy and Mamelodi Sundowns-bound Kuda Mahachi.
But he took advantage of Mahachi’s absence to show his coach Kelvin Kaindu what made him the best player in Zimbabwe in 2010.
