A new gospel couple Tafadzwa and Wisdom Mukaro has embarked on their gospel expedition with the release of their debut six-track album called Mwari Anesu.

Songs on the album are Iniwo Here, Mhinduro, Nhasi Uno, Ishe Gadzirai, Rwendo and Tendeukai.

The couple’s groundbreaking album contains uplifting and soulful messages of hope, love and faith with a unique refreshing sound of Afro-jazz.

Their voices have what it takes to rise to the top of the music ladder, a feat that normally takes ages for musicians to achieve.

The album, which was recorded at Lyton Studios and produced by veteran music producer Lyton Ngolomi, is enriched by the inclusion of seasoned musician Bethany Pasinawako of Ndinzverei fame who assisted them with some of the backing vocals.

Tafadzwa’s strength lies mainly in vocals while Wisdom comes in as backing vocalist who also doubles as the manager.

An old adage that says behind every woman’s success is a man seems to be the case with Tafadzwa as she credits her husband for helping her in composing and arranging the songs.

“The Charambas are our role model and as a couple we also share the same vision, hence we decided to combine our voices and use music as a platform to spread the Word of God,” Tafadzwa said.

“The lyrics are based on Bible teachings and events with some of the songs being inspired by personal experiences, hurdles and challenges.” The couple, who are members of the AFM Church, said they would be holding live shows soon.

The gospel genre is proving to be spawning new talent time to time.
