THE trial date for MDC-T’s Manicaland provincial secretary Misheck Kagurabadza on charges of breaking into the opposition party’s offices in Mutare last month, has been set at May 30.

Kagurabadza (70), a former Mutare mayor and Mutasa South MP, is jointly charged with Knowledge Nyamhoka (42) and Allan Mukodzani (34).
They are facing unlawful entry charges as defined in section 131 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9.23.
The State alleges that the complainant in this matter is MDC-T being represented by Brian James, the provincial treasurer.
Circumstances into the matter are that the three went to the provincial offices at number 26B Carrington Road, Darlington suburb in Mutare, and unlawfully broke into the party offices.
Allegations are that they used an iron hoe to break the lock and stole a Dell computer monitor, one Dell computer central processing unit, one Tech-com computer processing unit, one Omega fan, one photocopier, two keyboards, two four-way power adaptors, one computer mouse and one power pack all valued at $2 000.
The three allegedly packed the stolen items in Kagurabadza’s vehicle.

However, the three later surrendered themselves to the police on the same day after they got information that the police were looking for them in connection with the matter.
The three are out of custody on $150 bail each.
