GOSPEL artiste Lloyd Tevedzai has expressed joy ahead of his two-month long Eternity Gospel Festival Volume 1 tour in Canada next month.

Tevedzai is expected to leave the country on May 20 with his first performance scheduled four days later on May 24 in Toronto.

The musician will, during the Toronto show, share the stage with veteran gospel musician, Machanic Manyeruke.

The tour will see the musician performing at three other shows in Vancouver on May 31, Edmonton on June 7 and Calgary on June 14 respectively.

Speaking through his manageress, Tevedzai said he was elated to perform for his fans in Canada.

“It is a privilege and an opportunity for Tevedzai to perform at the Eternity Gospel Festival Volume 1 in Canada. This shows his music is being internationally recognised,” Rupapa said.

“We promise sterling performances at all of our shows knowing how far we could have travelled as we continue to preach the gospel through music.”

Tevedzai performed in London and South Africa alongside some renowned gospel artistes. He is currently riding high with his third nine-track album Nzvimbo Yenyu which is receiving rotational air play on local radio stations.

The album is composed of tracks like Hakuna Rimwe Zita featuring Patience Masiyambiri and Jacquie Mapundu, There is a Reason, Zviratidze, HakunaChombo, Nguva YaMwari, Inzwa Inzwi featuring Rumbie Zvirikuzhe, NdiJeso and a bonus track Tichazofara Naye featuring Bethen Pasinawako.

Rupapa said they were in the final stages of shooting five videos off the album. “Our fans will soon be getting the DVD of songs Hakuna Rimwe Zita, There is a Reason, Zviratidze, Hakuna Chombo and title track NzvimboYenyu,” Rupapa said.

“Very soon we will embark on a countrywide tour to take the music to our fans who are in different provinces.”

The festival will also feature gospel musicians Thembalami, Bethany Pasinawako, Wellington Kwenda and Primrose Njewa.
