RISING dancehall chanter Soul Jah Love was yesterday involved in a near accident after the Mercedes Benz A Class vehicle he was driving was cut off by a commuter omnibus along Willowvale Road in Harare.

According to the singer, the close shave occurred when he was driving to Glen View where he was to exchange cars with a friend.
“I was cut off by a commuter omnibus while I was going to collect a Hummer from Glen View,” he said. “I managed to avoid impact by swerving to the other side of the road, but I am glad I am OK and no one was injured.
“The car is also alright so there is nothing to really worry about.”
Meanwhile, the musician yesterday was unveiled as a brand ambassador at Jan Jam Fashions for a yet-to-be announced period. The deal was unveiled as part of the preparations for his engagement party scheduled for the Harare Gardens tomorrow.
Soul Jah Love said he felt honoured to be identified as an ambassador by the owners of the fashion concern.
“That they appreciate my music makes me feel honoured and it gives me confidence that we are heading in the right direction,” he said.

Cynthia Sithole, proprietor of the clothing shop, described Soul Jah Love as the man of the moment saying they were pleased to work with him.
“He is the mark for everyone no doubt,” said Sithole.
“We are yet to sit down and deliberate on the finer details of the deal, but we intend to do something really big. We cannot say how long the deal would last, but my intention is to engage him for at least three years.”
The artiste will be dressed by Jan Jam Menswear on Saturday as well as at any other events and activities that he will take part in.
