THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) has released the calendar for the knock-out cup tournaments with the Top Eight slated to kick off the busy season on the weekend of April 26-27 April. SPORTS CORRESPONDENT

The semi-finals are set for June 14-15 while the final will be played on June 28.

After the Top Eight tournament, fans will witness the Chibuku Super Cup first round which has been scheduled for July 26-27. The second round will be played on August 16-17 with the semi finals set for August 30. The final has been slated for September 27.

The Mbada Diamonds Cup will close the Zimbabwe soccer calendar with the first round scheduled for October 18-19 while the quarter-finals have been set for November 1. The semi-finals will be played on November 29 -30 while the final will be on December 20.

Traditionally the Zimbabwean football calendar ends on November 30, but with the coming-in of SuperSport it’s refreshing that games will now be watched in December in line with other leagues around the world.

The Independence Trophy semi-finals kicked off the proceedings last weekend with Dynamos, Highlanders, FC Platinum and Harare City taking part. The final will be staged on April 18 at the National Sports Stadium.
