The album will be officially launched in Kwekwe on April 4.

Titled Tinosvika Chete, the album includes a track in honour of Moyo, who succumbed to cancer in 2010, where Chosa wishes he could have fled with his uncle’s life in the title Zano Rakanaka.

The former music promoter said Moyo was impressed with his voice during a rehearsal session before he passed on and recommended that he take music seriously.

Some of the songs include Tinosvika Chete, Chikururudo, Zano Rakanaka, Pindirai and Zvavabatabata.

“I got interested in music at the instigation of Tongai who was impressed with my voice during a rehearsal session,” Chosa said.

So close was Chosa to Dhewa, as Tongai was affectionaly known, that when the Samanyemba hit-maker became seriously incapacitated, he flew to Nigeria to consult popular Prophet TB Joshua on behalf of his uncle.

In the song dedicated to Moyo, Chosa sings that “if only one could flee from death as if it was war, I would have fled with Dewa”.

He thanked fellow musician Ronnie Mudhindo for the successful recording of the album and also businessmen and music promoters Esau Mupfumi and Cossy Rules from Kadoma and his producer.
