DYNAMOS coach Kalisto Pasuwa is looking to instill confidence in his team to perform better at home after masterminding another important Premier Soccer League victory on the road at the weekend.

DeMbare’s next assignment is against struggling Harare City, who are desperate to pick up their first set of points of the season after three defeats in as many matches.

The Glamour Boys have so far failed to register victory at their new base at the National Sports Stadium having lost a league game against ZPC Kariba before the Independence Trophy defeat to FC Platinum.

The Harare giants’ fans will be hoping that their team can pick up from where they left off in a good second half performance against Bantu Rovers.

Speaking after the match, Pasuwa said Dynamos must now start winning at home. The three-time championship-winning gaffer said he was under pressure to win against Bantu Rovers on Monday.

“There was pressure coming from two consecutive defeats and now we have to psyche up the boys to start winning at home and the victory gives us the confidence. “The performance at home is our main worry. We haven’t been scoring and we miss so many chances and we get punished in the last minute. The main worry is that it is also getting into the boys and they are troubled by their home performance.”

The coach even suggested that his players were struggling to adjust to the turf at the National Sports Stadium, adding that they needed to find a solution quickly.

“Maybe it is because we changed our home from Rufaro to the National Sports Stadium, which is bigger. But it was all because of the turf. We should sit down and talk about it and if it is on the technical side, then we find a solution. Our performance at home is our main worry at the moment,” Pasuwa said. Dynamos looked set for another defeat on Sunday until the timely substitution of Oscar Machapa for the enterprising Cliff Sekete in the 28th minute saved the day for Pasuwa.

Dynamos could have scored three goals inside the first 10 minutes of the game when Bantu Rovers were down and out with Tafadzwa Rusike wreaking havoc on the left flank, but Machapa was the missing link to the left winger’s searching crosses.

It was Bantu Rovers who got the first goal courtesy of Nqobizitha Masuku in the 13th minute as the Premiership returnees took the game to Dynamos for the rest of the first half.

Dynamos, however, rediscovered their touch in the second half when Rusike’s corner kick in the 61st minute was headed home by Sydney Linyama before Sekete got the second just moments later.

Devon Chafa got the third five minutes later and it was all gloom for Methembe Ndlovu’s boys.

The return of defender Partson Jaure was also instrumental in the win against Bantu Rovers as he was involved in Sekete and Chafa’s goals with his long- searching passes after realising Tshintsha Guluva’s midfield was impenetrable and relied on counter raids.

Pasuwa is next at home against Bigboy Mawiwi’s Harare City who are desperate for a win after going for three consecutive league matches without a win.
