The United States has removed from its financial sanctions list, 11 individuals- including some who are late.

The United States has removed from its financial sanctions list, 11 individuals- including some who are late.

According to a US Department of Treasury statement made available to NewsDay Online, the 11 are businessman Billy Rautenbach, the late Vice president John Nkomo former Anti-Corruption minister Paul Mangwana, SMEs minister Sithembiso Nyoni, late former Deputy Education minister and Zanu PF Masvingo chairman Isaiah Shumba, Local government minister Ignatius Chombo’s former wife Marian, Msipa Sharlottie, former Tourism minister and Zanu PF politburo member Victoria Chitepo, late Zanu PF politburo member and Buhera senator Kumbirai Kangai, Bulawayo businessman Peter Nyoni. A company Ringerpoint Overseas Development Private Limited, has also been taken off the sanctions list.

The US has however, made four additions- Zimbabwe’s Registrar General Tobaiwa Mudede, Sino-Zimbabwe Development, Chinese and Singapore nationals Sam Pa and Jimmy Zerenie respectively.
