HIGHLANDERS Football Club winger Rahman “Rakocha” Kutsanzira, who made his debut for Bosso last weekend in a winning cause, has sent a bold message to the team’s followers that the best is yet to come from him and Bosso as a team.

Kutsanzira, who retraced his footsteps to his boyhood club Highlanders after spending two seasons with Harare giants Caps United, made his debut as a 56th minute substitute against Shababie Mine.

Kutsanzira came in for Knox Mutizwa sending Bosso fans into song and dance, ululation and whistling, a clear sign that the fans had been eagerly waiting for the return of Rakocha. The 25-year-old attacking winger, who was ecstatic after Bosso’s 4-1 drubbing of Shabanie Mine, yesterday said he was looking forward to the best season with the club.

His presence will ease coach Kelvin Kaindu’s nerves as the team is likely to lose Milton Ncube and Peter Moyo who are set to join South African Premier Soccer League sides Ajax Cape Town and Mpumalanga Black Aces respectively.

Kudakwashe Mahachi is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and if Ncube and Moyo leave Bosso in July, the team would have lost three key players.

“I am very happy I have finally returned home. The most important thing in this club is being appreciated by both the teammates and the fans,” Kutsanzira said.

“The welcome I received was overwhelming so I would like to promise the Bosso family a very good season.

“I would also like to see the fans coming in numbers to cheer up their team. The team is now shaping up, we scored four goals which is a good sign that the best is yet to come. We are looking forward to a good season as a team.”

Kutsanzira dislocated his shoulder on the first day at training in February at White City Stadium and the injury kept him out of action since pre-season.
