Harare Gardens: IT is dancehall chanter Soul Jah Love (born Soul Musaka)’s big day as he hosts an engagement party together with his girlfriend Bounty Lisa at Harare Gardens tomorrow.

The couple, with fellow dancehall artistes who include Lady Squanda, Platinum Prince and Ricky Fire, among others, will celebrate in style the party by the rising dancehall couple.

On Sunday, gospel couple Charles and Olivia Charamba headlines the Dr Nero Commemoration show at the same venue.

The gig is meant to honour the late dendera musician Naison Chimbetu. Alick Macheso and Servious Mawere join the Chimbetus Tryson, Allan, Sulumani and Douglas at the event.

Zimbabwe-German Society

Tariro NeGitare is billed to rock the stage today at the Zimbabwe-German Society with her soulful music. The musician has become a regular performer at the venue.

Big Apple

Peter Moyo and Utakataka Express perform at the venue tonight. The young artiste has suffered a number of setbacks lately that include desertion by band members. He gets a chance to regain lost ground in the capital with a show at the newly-opened club supported by reggae sound house Black Spider.

Nyaguwa Beer Gardens

The joint in Dzivaresekwa will today host Fanny Gee’s Earthday bash featuring a selection of upcoming dancehall artistes like Fire Warrior, Jazz Man, Flinky B, Mbada Kid and Loud H, among others, while Mbare-bred chanter Kinnah will be a guest artiste.

Black Identity Sounds, DJ Skee and DJ Fydale, among others, will rock it on the turntables.

Stodart Hall

Chipaz Promotions tonight hosts the launch of Double Trouble Riddim at Stodart Hall in Mbare. Artistes to participate include Kinnah, Laddy Squanda, Shinsoman, Dadza D and She Calaz, among others.

Plaza de Castilla

Plaza de Castilla tonight hosts contemporary musician Jah Prayzah and his Third Generation Band supported by Jean Masters. The musician is on the home stretch with his forthcoming album Kumbumura Mhute scheduled for a mega launch at Harare International Conference Centre.

Tube Nite Club

Today the joint hosts Potipher Mopo, the eldest son of retired musician Mike Mopo of Nherera Ndimambo fame. Mopo is doing well on the showbiz scene after taking over his father’s Zinawa Band.

City Sports Bar

Zora musician Leonard Zhakata tonight performs at City Sports Bar. The musician has somehow managed to keep his fans thirsty, but tonight hopes for huge numbers.

Super Label After his return from South Africa where he performed last weekend, Dadza D is hosted at a welcome party at Super Label tonight. The musician is probably one of the most versatile dancehall artistes although he is underrated.

New Life

Soul Jah Love and his train of dancers trek to Budiriro for a show at New Life Nite Club tonight. The show will see the young musician make strides to grow his following in the south-western suburb.

Khule’s Bar

Khule’s Bar goes raunchy tonight. The venue hosts pole dancer Zoey Sifelani.

Airport Lounge

It is an affair of the charmers at Airport Lounge tonight with Sulu making his return to Harare’s night life with a show at Private Lounge. He will be supported by ladies’ man Prince Musarurwa.

Private Lounge

Zoey performs at Private Lounge tomorrow evening. Next door to Holly’s Hotel, she has to compete for attention with rhumba outfit Royal Court La Musica.

TP Rukawo, Chegutu

After his performance at Private Lounge tonight, Sulu heads to his home town Chegutu for a show at TP Rukawo. He ends his weekend at Harare Gardens at the Dr Nero Commemoration show.
