Other members of the board include Admore Kandlela, Petronella Nkomasana, Peter Madara, Molly Dingani, Otilia Dangwa, Godfrey Chitambo, Beauty Razemba, Edgar Nyoni and Curtis Van Heerden.

Nyoni said the new board would work towards the establishment of the SMEs bank.

“SMEs are key to any economy world over as they are creating jobs with our local SMEs being cited as fundamental in economic development providing a 70% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP),” Nyoni saidwhen she unveiled the board.

“The board needs to be serious in executing its duties creating a new paradigm to yield the results as well as familiarise itself with the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZimAsset).”

Nyoni said SMEs should be well supported, but not ill-treated for them to comply when it came to the paying of taxes.

“When availing some funds you have to fund people according to ZimAsset, don’t fund people to go and twinkle in South Africa, but utilise it for the benefit of SMSEs” Nyoni said.

Kajese said they will use their collective energy and wisdom in the board to buildthe nation’s economy.
