According to Hifa spokesperson Tafadzwa Simba the opening party for the festival which will be held by BancABC will give an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute towards disaster relief to the victims.

“Several initiatives will be taken so as to allow stakeholders to give a helping hand to the victims of the disaster “he said.

Hifa 2014 will also provide a specific children’s area where disadvantaged children will be getting psycho-social support during the six-day festival.

The specific youth zone will be under security and children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds will be offered an opportunity to enjoy themselves with free food being given to them.

Hifa’s executive director Maria Wilson said their activities have been fruitful for the past 14 years because of partnerships like the one with BancABC.

“We have had a wonderful long term partnership with BancABC and they have are an exciting organisation to work with” she said.
