Speaking to NewsDay Sulu’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma said the artiste was happy to have shared the stage with the flamboyant artiste.

“Sulu was very happy to have been awarded such an opportunity which was a great moment and an honour for him,” Nyamungona said.

Other senior Orchestra Dendera Kings band members performed on the same stage with Kofi, when Sulu’s father Simon “Chopper” Chimbetu was alive and Nyamungoma said Sulu personally loved Koffi’s music together with his band management skills.

He added that it also felt great to perform in the presence of foreign dignitaries and other heads of state who had attended the wedding.

Jah Prayzah also performed at the colorful wedding.

Kofi recently won the Kora award for the Best African Artiste of The Decade. Some of his popular hits are Cle Boa, Lovemycine, Diabolos, Grand Pretre Mere and Soupou, among others.

He has a huge fan base in Africa and Europe.
