An elated Tafadzwa Muzondo, who is the writer and producer, said he was humbled by Tuku’s gesture.

The theatre director said the track Rongadondo resonated well with the conclusion of the short film that was due next week.

“The scenario of the conclusion is of an old man who is lamenting and reflecting over the life of his late and only son (Lovejoy) in whom he invested so much only to succumb to Aids because he fails to manage his HIV positive status,” Muzondo said. Hanya Naani? 1 is a theatrical and cinematographical fusion, a concept which I think works well with the track.”

Muzondo said he was happy with Tuku’s response when he approached him requesting permission to use the song.

“I am extremely grateful for the support from our music icon and I strongly believe that using this song in this scene will go a long way in enhancing the message we are driving home.”

The other music on the film would be from Sithabile Mahubaba whose single Nyarara opens one of the scenes and Brezhnev Guveya whose tracks from the album Dzimbahwe are used in various scenes.
