Speaking at a function held in Harare on Thursday, Sekai Nzenza said her appointment as the chief executive officer of RioZim Foundation would help her execute programmes in communities.

“The resources are limited, but our hearts and minds are in the right place. We are launching a platform for partnerships,” she said. RioZim chairman Elisha Mushayakarara said the foundation had been operational for the past 40 years.

“We are geared to do a lot more than in the past,” Mushayakarara said.

He said times were difficult as one could not know who to partner with as had been witnessed in the media where people were capable of doing anything if funds were made available.

Nzenza is a trained nurse and holds a PHD in International Relations. She has experience in humanitarian aid in Australia, Africa and the United States.
