According to the gospel singer, the lack of instruments has hindered progress in her carrier as she cannot hold shows to promote her music.

“I started singing in 2010 and have been facing difficulties because I do not have enough instruments of my own,” she said.

“I have been relying on hired instruments to record my work and it is not easy to operate that way.”

Dangarembizi and her group The Gospel Team have so far released two albums Shoko raMwari (2012) and Mbiri kuna Jesu (2013).

“We are currently working on the third album despite the challenges we have been facing as a group,” Dangarembizi said.

She said she started singing at high school, but decided to record after she was healed at her church.

“I decided to praise the Lord in song after I fell very ill and people from church prayed for me and I was healed,” she said.

The artiste also urged Zimbabweans to support local musicians despite their different genres.
