The former Monomotapa coach beat ex-FC Platinum boss Rahman Gumbo and ex-How Mine gaffer Philani Mabhena to the top post after interviews conducted last week.

He replaces Gishon Ntini who sensationally quit after he failed to agree with the club on a new contract over various monetary issues.

Zuze has a tough task to surpass the outspoken gaffer who led the Lowveld-based side to a seventh position in their maiden season last year.

Triangle chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze confirmed the development yesterday, adding that they were aiming higher this season.

“We have appointed Biggie Zuze as our new head coach on a one-year contract. With him and the kind of sponsorship we have, our ambition is to do better than last year. We have already started our preparations,” he said.

Triangle is likely to retain the services of exciting midfielder Lameck Nhamo, Warriors trialist Blessing Chimwamuchere, veterans David Sengu and William Mapfumo, Richard Kawondera and Chastern Ndongonda.
