Super Label Nite Club:SUPER Label will tomorrow host a dancehall fiesta dubbed “King of Dancehall” featuring an array of both upcoming and renowned dancehall chanters. The lineup includes fast-rising Mbare-bred Killer T, Sniper Storm, Ricky Fire, Freeman, Lady B, Bounty Lisa, Ras Pompy among others. DJ Kay Cee Jones and Cheeky B will rock the turntables.

New Life Nite Club

Alick Macheso will be out to prove a point at New Life Nite Club tonight after a disrupted first performance of the year at Pamuzinda Highway Escape last week. On Sunday, he will perform at Mega 1 Bar in Sunningdale.

Pariah State

DJ Julien Lebrun — all the way from Paris, France — will perform tonight at Pariah State before travelling to Bulawayo on Saturday for another show at Groove Nite Club.

City Sports Bar

Sungura musician Peter Moyo, aka the Young Igwe, will take his act to City Sports Bar tonight as he welcomes back talented bass guitarist Spencer Khumbulani with whom he had parted ways in 2011 to join Energy Mutodi’s Mutodi Express. Khumbulani brings a wealth of experience that sees him as one of the best bassists and should do the trick for Utakataka Express on stage.

Jazz 105 Dendera ace Sulumani Chimbetu will perform at Jazz 105

tonight. Sulu will be supported by Too Open, who is not new at the Home of Jazz. Too Open will continue at the same venue tomorrow supported by DJ Kay Cee. On Sunday, it will be the After Bhora Party with a resident DJ.

Book Café

Jah Prayzah (real name Mukudzei Mukombe) will return to Book Café. Jah Prayzah and his Third Generation Band will be supported by another rising artiste Tariro Negitare, who is also enjoying a purple patch on the musical scene.

Gijima Sports Bar It will be yet another mbira affair at Gijima Sports Bar at the corner of Kwame Nkrumah Avenue and Park Street with Mbira DzeNharira playing at the venue tonight.

Holly’s Hotel

Progress Chipfumo will date his fans tomorrow with a show at Holly’s Hotel

Zororo Bar Sam Mabukwa and sungura ensemble Ngosimbi crew, will perform at the venue in Dzivaresekwa tomorrow.

Mushandirapamwe Hotel

Mushandirapamwe Hotel in Machipisa will be home to Dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu tonight who will be expecting a better turnout after numerous poor turnouts in recent shows. Tomorrow, he will perform at Mhizha Club in Budiriro 4 Shopping Centre.

Miami Night Club

The club in Sunningdale will play host to Leonard Zhakata tomorrow. The musician seeks a welcome party in the high density suburb.

Joy Centre, Chitungwiza

After putting up a good show on Tuesday night at the Book Café, jazz sensation Pah Chihera of the Runonzi Rudo fame will tonight take her act to the satellite town of Chitungwiza. She will share the stage with talented group Talking Guitars.

Pakare Paye Arts Centre

Tomorrow, Jah Prayzah will re-unite with Jean Masters for a show at Pakare Paye Arts Centre. The lanky musician’s close relationship with the venue’s proprietor Oliver Mtukudzi has always made his performances at the centre sentimental. Jean, on the other hand, has enjoying the much-needed exposure from sharing the stage with Jah Prayzah.

Club XS Marondera

Sulu will perform at Club XS official opening tomorrow. The musician’s camp has declared they have a bigger plan this year and it remains to be seen what they will come up with.

Pick and Save Mutare

Alick Macheso will travel to Mutare tomorrow evening for a show at Pick and Save. The show will be his first in Manicaland this year and he will be out to show revellers a thing or two about dance with the new “shake shake” dance.-Entertainment Reporters
