Nyamandwe and Muchenje’s contracts with the Green Machine expired on December 31 last year and while Caps United coach Taurai Mangwiro has said his club is negotiating with all the personnel whose contracts have run down with the aim to renew, but it is understood that most of the players are looking for jobs elsewhere.

Besides the two who are negotiating with the army side, midfielders Tawanda Munyanduri and David Redhiyoni have been spotted at newly promoted ZPC Kariba recently.

Defender George Magariro has already left the club for How Mine after the expiry of his contract at the end of the year.

Rhinos secretary Roy Svovanapasi yesterday said his club is looking to add at least seven players to bolster the squad. Rhinos escaped relegation on the last day of the season last year. He said Nyamandwe and Muchenje top their wish list.

“Just like any other teams we will definitely bolster our squad. We have identified at least seven players who we think can help strengthen our team. Yes, I can confirm that Nyamandwe and Muchenje are some of the players we are negotiating with in view of signing them.”

He also revealed that former Dynamos, Caps United and Black Mambas striker Evans Gwekwerere has also tried his luck at Rhinos, but failed to make the grade.

The club is also set to free at least seven players with the trio of veteran Lazarus Muhoni, Raymond Chuma and Sylvester Karinda already released to join another army side Commando Bullets, a team in Division One.
