The track Simudza Gumbo, released on Friday, is off Tehn Diamond’s forthcoming debut album titled The Perfect Tehn to be released in April.

The track has an Afro-centric take.

It was core produced by Begottensun, who is the executive producer and Take Fizzo with Blessing Chimanga playing the live drums on the track.

With three mix tapes into his evolution as an artiste, Tsungi  Zvobgo, the musician’s manager said Tehn Diamond continues to aim high on the musical scene.

“This year Tehn Diamond will be releasing his debut album The Perfect Tehn in April and can confirm that preparations of the project are well at an advanced stage,” she said.

From his first project, a Mixtape titled Student of the Game which was released in November 2008, Tehn Diamond continues to shine on the musical scene. He has become more focused on being more of an artiste and less of a rapper.

In 2012, he collaborated with Chiwoniso Maraire, Ba Shupi, Junior Brown, MC Chita, South African hip-hop band Tumi & Twidzo 1987 and the Volume among others.

In 2013, Tehn Diamond performed at the Big Brother The Chase Live Eviction show putting up a scintillating performance with his hit song Grown Up Kid sending the Big Brother followers into a frenzy. Dhadza D said he was honoured to have collaborated with Tehn Diamond describing the gesture as a way that would also unite their fans.

“Starting a new year on such a vibe doing collaboration with a talented artiste on the local hip-hop genre shows great potential for our industry,” he said.
