He becomes the second coach in the PSL to leave a club after Joisten Mathuthu was shoved off the hot seat at ZPC Kariba due to lack of the necessary qualifications.

While Ntini told this paper that his contract had expired, but that he was confident of another dance with the sugar boys, team chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze had earlier told this paper that the nomadic gaffer was still contracted to the club.

“We are happy with what the technical team and the players achieved last season. We are planning to retain our technical committee and the players we have,” said Matikinyidze.

Asked why they were taking time to give Ntini a contract Matikinyidze said as far as he was concerned the coach still had a contract with the club.

“I think I have put myself across very well on this. I am not aware that his contract has expired,” said Matikinyidze yesterday morning. But later in the afternoon, Ntini was singing from the Jobless’ Hymn Book.

Ntini contacted this publication late yesterday over the development saying that the monetary value offered by the Lowveld side was too low for a coach of a Premiership outfit.

He also added that he cannot operate without medical aid, among a host of issues.
