DEMBO brothers Tendai and Morgan stole the limelight at a show where Sulumani Chimbetu was meant to be the main attraction at Odessey in Kadoma on Saturday night.

The youthful brothers belted song after song of their late father Leonard “MusoroWenyoka” much to the delight of the revellers.

Chitekete the song that popularised their father did not let them down as revellers that had come from as far as Chakari, Eiffel Flats, Chegutu and the surrounding farms enjoyed every moment.

Morgan and Tendai impressed through the first half of the night until Sulu came on the stage at around 12 midnight and did a disservice for himself to the small crowd that was by far below his usual highly expected status.

One reveller who claimed to have travelled all the way from Harare complained that the Dendera musician was taking advantage of people just because they were from a small city.

“This is shoddy performance! Sulumani would not have done this and got away with it if it was in Harare, he is just not professional,” complained the reveller.

However, Tendai Dembo said that they were happy to have managed to penetrate most areas in the country and were also humbled by the support they were receiving from music lovers.

He added that they were in no rush to record their own songs this year.
