The two-week training camp for the Young Warriors, which will end on November 29, is being bankrolled by Castle Premier Soccer League outfit FC Platinum.

Head coach Jairos Tapera said 23 players were already in camp and he was awaiting six more players who had other commitments.

“Three quarters of the players are already here and on Saturday, we played FC Platinum Under-19 and lost 2-1. We are just coming from our morning session now and everything just looks okay. We will probably be leaving for Lesotho on December 1,” Tapera said.

“I expect six other players to be coming in as some have writing examination and some had commitments with their clubs at the weekend.”

Tapera is in charge of the team, assisted by Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu and George Madira while Laban Kandi and Gift “Umbro” Muzadzi are the goalkeepers’ coaches.

The manager of the team is Patrick Mutesva, whom Tapera said will be joining the team when he returns from senior national team duty in Tanzania.
