Thirty singers out of the 80-member group have been selected for the tour that will see them performing in Birmingham on November 2, Luton on November 9 and at various churches across London.

The tour came after their successful Season six live DVD launch which saw scores of people flocking the Harare International Conference Centre for the celebrated event which was dubbed “It’s all about Jesus”.

“Just after the live DVD recording of the season a few months ago, I knew it was time for an international tour and a lot of people thought I was being overzealous, but at the end of the day God has seen us through and we are going,” Zimpraise Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Madziyire said.

The team includes some of the choir’s leading vocalists Sharon Manyonganise, Wellington Kwenda, Lloyd Tevedzai and Dumisani Chitukutu.

Zimpraise will also perform with popular gospel musicians, Stanley Gwanzura AKA Pastor G and Thembalami Tagwirei.

“Madziyire recently returned to Zimbabwe after having been in UK for the past month preparing for this show together with Gospel Nation Promotions, a UK based company that has assisted in the facilitation of the tour,” Zimpraise public relations officer, Tendai Zhou said. He said the general response to this year’s live DVD performance which carries 35 songs was tremendous.

Zhou said the song Sungano was their greatest track as it continues to hit the gospel scene.

“It was a bit disappointing when one of our key members, Marbel Madondo recently left the group to concentrate more on her solo career, but at the end of the day it was entirely her decision and we will certainly support her endeavors as a solo artiste,” he added.

Zimpraise has been increasingly growing and this year’s recording saw the celebration of diverse musical talent led by celebrated artistes namely Stanley Gwanzura, Sebastian Magacha, American-based Comfort Manyame, Mathias Mhere and Tagwirei.

Zhou said people in UK could expect an exciting three week celebration with the group that was ready to give them nothing, but the best of gospel music concerts with a Zimbabwean flavor.

Zimpraise has been in existence for the past decade under the watchful eye of award winning producer McDonald “Mcdee” Chidavaenzi in collaboration with Madziyire.
