Motor Action were clearly the better team of the day as their youngsters dominated the midfield battle, but ultimately lacked the killer instinct in front of goal to settle for yet another stalemate.

Even Chicken Inn coach Mandla Mpofu admitted they were the better team on the day.

“We lost it in the middle of the park. The Motor Action youngsters were too quick for my players. I must say that Clement (Matawu) didn’t play well today and the same applies to Danny Phiri and Kuda Mahachi. Motor Action were on top of the game every time and again.”

Motor Action coach Prince Matore blamed the defeat on his team’s inability to convert their chances.

“We are creating the chances and failing to score. It’s sad because we need points and we can only get them through scoring goals. We have to continue working hard on our finishing and hopefully, we will start picking up the points.

Young Walter Musona showed flashes of brilliance, but on the few occasions he had sight on goal he lacked the composure .
