The Eastern Region Division One Football side pacesetters will now lock horns with Gaza Gunners in the quarter finals. Gaza dismissed Mkwasine 3-1 in Chipinge on Saturday.

Defending champions Mutare City Rovers were almost booted out from the tournament in the first round after being held to a one-all stalemate against Mutare Polytechnic in a derby match at Sakubva on Sunday.

However the Mutare Municipality owned side managed to get the better of the college boys in the penalty shootout after claiming a 5-4 win.

Prison services side Tenax bowed out in the first round with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Southdowns in Chipinge on Sunday. Southdowns will now meet Mutare City Rovers in the last eight.

In another fierce derby match former Premiership side Masvingo United outclassed ZRP Masvingo 2-0 at Mucheke to book a quarter final berth against Renzo Mine who shocked pundits by registering a 1-0 away win on Sunday against Mwenezana in Mwenezi .

Ruwa United also progressed to the last eight after edging Acturus 2-1 at Rudhaka Stadium at the weekend and they will now meet Surrey who were on a bye.
