INSTABUL — Turkey champions Galatasaray have announced the preparation of a fresh contract for Didier Drogba following requests from the Ivorian to continue at the club beyond his 18-monts deal that expires next summer.

The Galatasaray president Unal Aysal said the former Chelsea striker is willing to continue at the club and a new deal will be handed to him. “Didier Drogba has talked about his future and he will prolong his career as a player,” Aysal said on Sunday.
“I told him he will play at Galatasaray as long as he is doing well. We’ll definitely come to offer him a new contract and I don’t think he will reject our proposal.”
The Elephants captain joined the Turkish club from Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua last January and helped the team clinch the Super Lig title.
