The visually impaired musician, who has been struggling to raise funds for his upcoming album, is now working for an undisclosed company in Kwekwe.

The musician, who was based in Masvingo would have wanted to release another album this year after setting high standards last year with his song Zodzo that was voted Gospel Song of The Year on local radio charts, but hard times have thwarted his move.

Munodawafa confirmed he is now employed in Kwekwe and would release a new album next year.

“I am not going to release an album this year due to some reasons. In fact, I am going to release something next year. I am no longer in Masvingo, I am now working somewhere in Kwekwe,” he said.

Last year, Munodawafa was embroiled in bitter wrangle with his record company Artisan Studio after it took long to release his fourth album Zvava Nezodzo. Munodawafa has a third party with Artisan Studio, an agreement which the studio boss Allan Dzobo said was meant to the musician.

Born in 1988, Munodawafa first hogged the music limelight at a very tender age, after exhibiting tremendous keyboard playing skills.

He was famous for his hit song Shandisa Chipo Chako which was a passionate plea to many physically challenged people to utilise their God-given talents. He went on to release his debut at the age of 10. However, he courted controversy after he separated with his wife early this year when he was accused of infidelity. The two have since reconciled.
