POKELLO Nare, ex-Big Brother Africa (BBA) housemate, received a special welcome from her in -laws-to-be when she arrived in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday.

Pokello arrived in Ghana with her new-found love, Elikem Kumordzi, who also represented Ghana in the BBA reality show, to a rapturous reception from hundreds of fans who had gathered at the Kotoka International Airport.

Dressed in an identical outfit to that of Elikem, Pokello is reported to have received rapturous cheers as she went on to announce that she was ready to marry the Ghanaian.

Elikem’s brother and manager Troy said Pokello received a grand welcome from Ghanaians when she landed at Kotoka Airport.

“Just like Elikem’s welcome in Zimbabwe, the people in Ghana thronged the airport in Accra to welcome Pokello. Fans went wild and it was crazy as they all wanted to take pictures with Pokello,” Troy said.

Free transport had been arranged for fans to welcome Polikem, as the lovebirds are now referred to, at the airport. Fans were clad in T-shirts branded “addicted to Polikem” which had pictures of high-heeled shoes and a tape measure in recognition of Pokello’s addiction to high heels and Elikem’s profession as a tailor.

Social media networks were awash with people posting pictures of the lovers and welcoming Pokello to Ghana.

Upon Polikem’s arrival, Pokello was presented with traditional beads signifying that she had been accepted by her future in-laws in Ghana.

Pokello’s trip to Ghana is to reciprocate Elikem’s trip to Zimbabwe last week. She will be part of Elikem’s three week “Thank You Party Tour” which kicks off tomorrow with a party at Aphrodisiac Nite Club in Accra. The tour will include four parties in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.

The Ghanaian tailor during his stay in Zimbabwe visited Pokello’s parents, attended three parties, made some donations to Thembiso Children’s Home in Luveve, Bulawayo and also met with his fans in Zimbabwe.

Organisers of Elikem’s tour said they were celebrating Elikem’s achievements for having raised Ghana’s flag high as the first Ghanaian to make it to the BBA finale.

Besides partying and meeting her future in-laws, Pokello said she would use the Ghana trip to explore business opportunities, spend more time with her love and meet his other family members.

She said she would, together with Elikem, push the Polikem clothing line and Queen of swagger, all day everyday brands and also pursue the movie roles she was offered soon after she exited the BBA house by Ghanaian and Nigerian film producers.
