NewsDay wins Highway Africa Most Innovative Newsroom award

Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) flagship daily newspaper, NewsDay has won the prestigious Highway Africa Most Innovative Newsroom award in Grahamstown South Africa.

NewsDay, which has a prominent mobile and web presence and is credited as a leader in accelerating the digital first strategy in line with world trends, had been nominated under the Telkom-Highway Africa New Media Awards Innovative Newsroom Category.

Group Editor-in-Chief of AMH, publishers of NewsDay, The Independent, Standard and Southern Eye, Vincent Kahiya said: “This recognition is ample evidence of our commitment to embrace the fast-changing technology in gathering, processing and presentation of our content,” said Kahiya. “The media industry is on an irreversible path towards change hence AMH’s adoption of the Digital First Strategy.”

    I think you should start with basic things such as making sure you fact-check stories and throw out lies before they are actually published.

    I think they meant most creative newsroom award. Newsday reporters create news whilst seated in their newsroom.

Apparently as a subscriber i dont think such proffessional and ethical media entity would accountably brew lies in their dailly publications,i beseech we do list erdicate this scum; polititics and its immensely irrational propaganda in all sectors of civilisationespecially industry and commerce and thus concentrate on versatile developmental oponions other than forwarding mean,inferior and discouraging comments alike.Others we end up making rhetoric circles around.
