PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe yesterday appointed government permanent secretaries, retaining most of them as he did with his Zanu PF Cabinet ministers.

In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda said those who retained their positions included Media, Information and Broadcasting Services secretary George Charamba, Killian Mpingo (Local Government, Public Works and National Housing), Washington Mbizvo (Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology), Gerald Gwinji (Health and Child Care), Martin Rushwaya (Defence) and Partson Mbiriri (Energy and Power Development).
