Office 365 brings together Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Lync Online in an always up-to –date service.

The product is developed to suit businesses of all sizes in Zimbabwe and is currently being run on a trial basis.

Sales manager for Public Cloud at Microsoft covering West, East and Central Africa as well as the Indian Ocean Islands, Pratik Roy, said he expected the product to be up and running in 18 African countries, including Mauritius, Ghana and Angola, by the end of the year.

With the product people find new ways to work together on virtually any device using the familiar Office applications.

WinSys Corporation Zimbabwe chief executive Harold Muvuti said the product would enhance their operations.

“Office365 is the right choice to help our company support the way people work today and encourage a more mobile work environment,” Muvuti said.

“With the service we have the added benefit of working together with familiar tools on almost any device and can make quicker decisions when needed.”

Over a few months, more than 10 000 organisations around the world, many of which are small and medium-size businesses, signed up and began testing Office 365, creating one of Microsoft’s largest global beta programmes for businesses.
