ZANU PF has crushed rival MDC-T in three by elections at Kusile Rural District Council Ward 5, Ward 4 Kadoma Municipality and Mutasa Rural District Council Ward 30 held on Wednesday.

Report by Southern Eye

The elections were a result of candidates from Zanu PF and MDC-T receiving an equal number of votes in the July 31 polls in the three wards.

In Ward 5 in Kusile RDC, Zanu PF candidate Soneni Tshuma polled 646 against MDC-T’s Ubunene Ncube who got 221.

The victory means Zanu PF now has 20 seats against the MDC-T’s eight.

A total of 12 spoilt ballots were recorded, while 879 people voted.

In Kadoma, Godfrey Mavura of Zanu PF got 523 votes, while Fastmore Mandipota of MDC-T polled 212.

The MDC-T’s annihilation was completed in Mutasa RDC Ward 30, where the party’s candidate, Elias Kembo, polled 399 against Zanu PF’s William Ketero, who received 732 votes.

    • You NEWSDAY GUYS MUST INSPECT YOUR ARTICLES BEFORE LAUNCHING THEM TO THE PUBLIC! YOU ARE MISLEADING THE REAL PEOPLE!

    • Was the voter registration criteria changed?
As long as Mdede is on the helm we have no fair elections in Zimbabwe.

SOON ALL NATIONAL ELECTIONS WILL RESEMBLE ZPF PRIMARIES AS MORE AND MORE ELIGIBLE VOTERS ARE SCRATCHED FROM THE VOTERS ROLL.

      • Saka makabvumirei kukwikwidza? Dai makaramba like the 2008 run-off. It just shows that MDC-T’s ineptitude knows no bounds.

  1. In Kadoma and “I quote Zanu pf got 523 votes and MDC-T got 212 votes out of total of 571 people who voted.”According to ZEC’s Rigging department of Mathematics.Yeah right ,you believe this then you will believe that Zanu won a free and fair election. You will also believe that 1+1=5.

  2. In Kadoma, Godfrey Mavura of Zanu PF got 523 votes, while Fastmore Mandipota of MDC-T polled 212 out of 571 people who voted

    honestly, how is this possible.

is it aquestion of poor journalism or the figures are coming from another planet.

  3. Akeliyeke ubuleme lina zilima zaseZimbabwe.

Kanti dont you understand democracy? Do you have to mock each other?

How many times have the Conservatives lost in the past in the UK? Are they not in power today? Where is labour today – grow up. Akelikhule mani, ziphukuphuku. Ukuthukana yikho okuzolilethelani?

Thats the nature of democracy ziwulandini, stupid and pathetic uncivilised very primitive, dark skinned apes!!

No wonder your elections are violent – winning an election to you is like being admitted to heaven and losing one is like the end of the world.

    • @Gukurahundi upbringing am sure you never follow comments in internet after elections in UK and USA. Where is the problem if people express their opinions kanti

      • @NANSI LENDODA

The problem is that of INTOLERANCE – which encourages political violence. This manifests itself through the language the leaders and their supporters use – backward thuggish people.

Winning against opposition is one thing, but intolerance for the very existence of opposition is quite another, and this is unacceptable.

Most comments by Zimbabweans reflect a desire to see a one party state in Zim, which is contrary to the ethos of democratic constitutionalism, that the current constitution stands for.

This is not just a preserve of the Gukurahundi party ZANU PF, even the MDC-T suffers from this disease.

ZANU PF does not want opposition parties to exist, more especially if its a strong opposition party. The MDC-T thinks opposition politics is theirs alone and no other party should play that role – hence their intolerance of the MDC green team and other smaller players.

The two political parties are a menace in democratic Zimbabwe!!

        • @Gukurahundu upbringing

Here you have a point and l agree with you. After winning the winners must rejoice and work to win another day and the losers must regroup and hope to fight and win the next battle.

    • @Gukurahundi upbringing

It’s good that you consistently post under this moniker because I now know not to read your drivel.

  4. Fine. ZPF can’t blame anyone now. I wonder if they will be able to clean their mess b4 they are booted out in 2018.

  5. WELL DONE ZANU-PF.

THE WESTERN COUNTRIES WHICH WERE DEMANDING A RE-RUN OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WILL NOW HAVE TO THINK TWICE BECAUSE IT IS NOW VERY CLEAR MDC CAN NOT WIN EVEN IF THE UN SUPERVISED THE ELECTIONS.

TSVANGIRAYI STANDS NO CHANCE AGAINST THE MORE EXPERIENCED & INTELLIGENT MUGABE ESPECIALLY AFTER JULY 31 WHEN TSVANGIRAYI EXPOSED EVEN MORE STUPIDITY THAN BEFORE.

HIS WIFE DID NOT MAKE THINGS ANY BETTER FOR HIM WITH HER GENEROSITY TO MR NGIRAZ -THE REAL STUD

  6. This is rubbish, Mugabi and his murderous thugs have ruined the economy and destroyed all schools and hospitals for 33 years, now they rig elections and use nikuv to mutate ballots, Mugabi must go! This is a sham by-election. Let’s go to sadc comrades because the courts are zanu!

    • ndosaka kuchemachema kwese uku nhai? tazozviona kuti “muzivi venzira yeparuware ndiye mufambi wayo”. zvapachena kuti MDC ndiyo yakaba mavote. mamwe mavotes enyu akazodisappear sei, apa munofanira kunyarawo murege kuramba muchingo zhamba nhando.

    • @Sonia

The failure of MDC-T to produce convincing evidence was not enough? I mean of all the talk about the “dossier” they were to produce at the SADC meeting yet they weren’t willing to show it to us, the electorate. MDC masketch chete chete
