Triangle had taken the lead in the 30th minute through Charles Makoto and Lameck Nhamo in the 38th minute.

Rhinos replied through veteran striker Phillip Marufu two minutes after the breather before Chiunga’s equaliser in the 89th minute.

Triangle coach Gishon Ntini said his side defended badly in the last stages of the match.

“I blame the defenders for being complacent especially in the second half and also the attackers did not play according to instructions because we could have scored more goals. I am not happy with this draw at home especially if we were 2-0 up.”

His counterpart Arthur Tutani was happy with the away point.

“This is a first step in the right direction and in our fight against relegation. It’s good that we have collected a point away from home. We are going to build our confidence from the draw,” the Rhinos gaffer said.

The home side took the lead on the half hour from a full bloodied shot by Makoto outside the box, benefiting from Nhamo’s cross.

The hosts thought they had bagged all the maximum points when Nhamo blasted home a cross from Walter Mukanda, who had done well to shake off his markers on the left flank.

The home side paid dearly for their complacency just two minutes into the second half when the returning Marufu, who was better positioned in the box, connected home a Brian Muzondiwa cross.

In the 83rd minute, the exciting Muzondiwa dazzled his way past the opposition defenders on the left flank before setting up Chiunga who did justice to the cross with Triangle defender Chasten Ndongonda to blame for poor marking.
