The Leopards’ winner came through Mubele Ndombe in the 68th minute, which sent shock waves across the northern Cameroonian city. Both sides will meet by end of the month for the reverse fixture, with the Congolese hosting.

However, the two teams will be doing without a number of their players who will be participating in the Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup group phase.

The team that wins on aggregate will qualify for the tournament holding in South Africa next January.

Meanwhile, Cameroon coach Volker Finke on Monday published his list of players for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Libya set for September 8 in Yaounde, with team captain Samuel Eto’o figuring in the 25-man squad, as the Indomitable Lions hope to strengthen their slim lead to snaffle Group I’s spot to the third round.

Veteran goalkeeper Idriss Carlos Kameni of Spanish side Malaga makes a return as well as Olympiakos defender Gaetan Bong.

Eighteen-year-old striker Jean-Marie Dongou, who plays for FC Barcelona B in the Spanish second division, makes the list after his participation in the group’s workshop in France early this month.

Cameroon are on top of the group with 10 points, while the Mediterranean Knights are trailing by just a point.  The North Africans won the reverse fixture 2-1 in June 2012.
